Meet Your Coach

I’m Ben Combes — a former Detective Constable, a Personal Trainer and founder of Four Pillar Fitness.

I built this method through years of balancing demanding shift work with structured training, including completing the London Marathon while staying strong, mobile, and healthy.

My coaching focuses on structure, consistency, and habits — not hype or short-term fixes — so people build fitness that actually fits their life.

Why I created Four Pillar Fitness

Most fitness programs fail people because they focus on just one dimension:

Modern gym culture creates imbalanced people:

• Lifters who can move heavy weight but get breathless climbing stairs

I created Four Pillar Fitness to build all-round healthy humans — strong, mobile, resilient, energetic, and properly fuelled — by training strength, cardio, flexibility, and nutrition together.

My Coaching Philosophy

I don’t believe in quick fixes.
I don’t believe in six-week transformations that fall apart after week seven.
I don’t believe in noise, gimmicks, or confusion.

I believe in habit building — step by step, brick by brick, pillar by pillar.

When strong habits are built around training, nutrition, movement, and consistency, results become automatic. You stop relying on motivation and start relying on structure.
